Our Story

Founded in 1995 by veteran drive and motion engineers, Applied Motion Systems, Inc. develops cutting-edge motion control systems for end-user and OEM customers. Our designs improve production speeds and cut costs in a broad range of industries.

AMS began as a group of committed motion design engineers developing a new generation of high-speed composite can-sealing systems for the food-packaging industry. Our first system doubled traditional production throughput for this type of product while using lower-cost materials. Present-day versions of this machine are capable of tripling production rates considered state-of-the-art only a few short years ago.

AMS continues to develop and implement automated motion processes for the paper-converting, veneer processing, large-scale CNC machining, glass container manufacturing, and engineered wood products industries.
