Systems Integration
We integrate the following products in many of our systems:
Siemens Motion and Automation Solution Partner AMS utilizes the TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) architecture to provide world-class automation solutions based on SIMOTION, S7 and S7 technology PLCs, SINAMICS drives, and WinCC operator interface platforms. AMS is the only authorized Siemens Motion Solution Partner in the Pacific Northwest.
Rockwell Control Logix and MotionLogix PLC-based control system provides a robust platform from which many processes can be efficiently managed. AMS prides itself on successfully implementing this controller across a broad range of complex applications.
Delta Tau Motion Controllers set the industry standard for providing the highest level of performance and flexibility. AMS is an authorized distributor and integrator of Delta Tau motion products. Our engineers have been working with PMAC and UMAC controllers for over 15 years with over 200 motion systems in service.
Heidenhain Encoders and Feedback Systems set the standard for precision rotary and linear glass scale position feedback devices. AMS is proud to distribute and service Heidenhain products throughout the Northwest.
Control Techniques/Emerson ACVector and ACServo Drives and Motors from 1 hp to 1000 hp, deliver high performance in a cost-effective package. AMS has integrated over 1500 Emerson drives ranging from 1 hp to 150 hp over the last 10 years. We can help you determine how this product might benefit your motion and drive system needs.
EXLAR Servo Gearmotors and Linear Actuators provide compact, high-performance servo solutions for rotary and linear motion. AMS has significant experience with integration of these products in harsh environments to accomplish difficult positioning applications.
Soft PLC The original Soft PLC with a great gateway to the Delta Tau PMAC via DPRAM. Compact, robust, and economical solutions for a standalone PC-based programmable logic controller.
A New Kind of Systems Integrator
We are dedicated to the improvement of manufacturing processes through intelligent application of motion and automation technology.
- Understanding – We recognize that the manufacturing process involves imparting forces on raw materials. Identifying each of these forces and understanding them completely is the first step.
- Kinematics – Each force is scrutinized so that optimum motion trajectories can be defined to provide elegant and efficient processing of raw materials. From these trajectories, component stresses and required torques and speeds are computed and appropriate drive and actuator technologies are selected.
- Coordination – No single action within a manufacturing system operates completely independent of other actions. Optimum performance requires precise coordination of all these actions.
- Experience – Our prolonged success within a broad range of industries allows us a unique perspective on what differentiates a good design from the best design. After we have defined the optimum engineering solution, we determine how to best integrate robust, state-of-the-art technologies and manufacturing processes needed to implement that solution.
AMS Mechanical Engineers use SolidWorks and Cosmos Motion to design and analyze dynamic mechanical systems. Our Electrical Engineers develop schematics using the Promis-e Electrical Design Package for improved consistency and ease of maintenance of complex drawing sets. Our Electrical Technicians have been trained in UL 508A, NFPA79, and CSA compliance issues and our electrical control panels are second to none when it comes to safety, neatness, and ease of service.
